The Proposal
This is a beautiful scenic gorge nestled in the Blackstone River Valley within central MA. It is common to see many people throughout the year, no matter what the weather is. However, the chasm itself may be closed due to either extreme wet or icy conditions. Be sure to stop by their visitor's center and get a map of the area and trails, and read a little history on the chasm.

This series of boxes are inspired and dedicated to my future wife Greta. For those with romance in mind might want to consider these boxes as part of a romantic day or picnic. BTW, after checking these boxes in June of 2001, we noticed many mosquitoes in the area, so be prepared by bringing some bug-dope!!!

Two Hearts

When you enter the chasm,
take the trail on the right.
Look down to the tree,
that suffered Bob's fright.

At 145o you'll see,
the coins on top.
At 300o you'll go,
to a yellow blaze and stop.

300o beyond,
10 times 5 your little feet go.
To a rock and tree sandwich,
two hearts meet below.

Intimacy

At the end of Charley's loop trail,
turn 80o around.
In front of the coffin,
There's a pipe in the ground.

South 33 steps,
and up a small hill.
Below a small cairne,
the box is buried still.

Feelings

High on Corn Crib beneath thee,
I can see,
the Fat Man's Misery at 223o.

If you turn around 100 degrees,
you will see,
a pair of trees shaped like "V's."

Wedged in the rocks,
a message you will find.
Said from one love to another,
as old as mankind.

Proposal

Walk up the rocky way,
behind the old spring.
The tree with the large base,
has a small treasure to bring.

Behind the heart rock,
is a question for you.
Starts a new journey,
and makes one from two.
